Pricing

How pricing works

We do not quote from a photo. We quote after we have touched the walls.

  • What decides the price

Walls differ, and the work that comes before paint is most of the labor.

    • The size of the house and the height of the walls

    • Cracks, patches and loose plaster to repair

    • Adobe or stucco, and what is on it now

    • Number of coats and colors

    • Beams, doors and trim

  • What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't

It names each wall, the repairs, the coats, the products and sheens, the colors and cleanup. It leaves out repairs found only after washing, extra colors and structural work.

  • What happens at the visit

Regino or Baldemar walks the house with you, taps the walls, measures and writes down what each one needs. If you want a color match, we plan the test patch then.

  • When you get the number

In writing, after the visit, as a flat price for the work listed. We do not give a price over the phone.

  • If the job changes

A change is priced and agreed with you in writing before we do it.

  • Materials and who buys them

We buy the coatings and name the product line on your estimate. The data sheet is yours on request.

A written estimate

    Line and sheen named

  • Color

    A name for each surface

  • Cleanup

About estimates

What is on the written estimate?

Each wall by name, the repairs, the number of coats, the products and sheens, the colors, cleanup, the schedule and how you pay. You can hold it next to another firm's.

What does the estimate not include?

Repairs we can only find once a wall is washed, extra colors, and structural work. Anything added is agreed with you in writing before we do it.

How do deposits and payments work?

The deposit, if there is one, and when the rest is due are written in your estimate before you sign.

What does a warranty cover?

Ask for the written warranty with your estimate. Terms, limits and exclusions are in your written warranty.

Ready for a number you can check?

Book the walk-through. The estimate comes in writing afterward.
